Costa Rica Ramblings
We are back in Kelowna now, but for 6 months, my family and I travelled through Costa Rica as I studied herbs and healing plants.  This was our way of keeping in touch with the family and friends here and sharing some of our experiences.  Feel free to read and enjoy! ~Alexis

Week One: Getting Here - In which we make our way through San Jose, get on the wrong bus and eventually make it to our new home of Punta Banco.

Week Three: Lexi and the Chocolate Factory - The complete sensory overload of a biodynamic spice farm. Chocolate and vanilla and cinnamon, oh my.

Week Four: Yes Man (Woman? Person?) - My new philosophy of saying yes to everything, plus, I get a machete.

 Weeks Six and Seven: Futbol Fever, Jungle and Traveling - Futbol finals in Punta Banco, Tiskita Jungle Lodge and figuring out what on earth to do next.

Week Nine: That's Bull - Festival de los Diablitos in Boruca and I get to have a bath.

Week Ten: Happy Anniversary to Me! - Traveling to Heredia, touring Cafe Brit and twins on a sugar-high.

Week Eleven: Costellos of the Caribbean - Snorkeling in Panama, Bribri Medicine man and Talamanca chocolate.

Week Twelve: Angelina Jolie - Visit with a shaman, animal rescue sanctuary in Puerto Viejo featuring baby howler monkeys, sloths and caimans.

Week Thirteen: Sometimes, there's just too many gringos - In which we travel back to Manual Antonio and see the reptile house and butterfly gardens

Week Fourteen: Election Coverage - Sick and uninspired in San Isidro, but hey, there's a new female president!

Week Fifteen: Spanish lessons and street vending - Spanish lessons at SEPA, playgrounds and hammock slinging.

Week Sixteen: Bumper cars and mountainsides - Perez Zeledon expo, San Gerardo and Aguas Temales

Week Seventeen: Culture, creepy crawlies, Quakers and clouds - Traveling in Monteverde's cloud forest, tons of bugs, cheese factory and the Bribri at Salitre

Weeks Eighteen and Nineteen: Uvita again and Osa intensity - Boruca curandera, Diquis stone spheres, monkeys, parrots and the hot hot sun

Week Twenty: Gleeful and cleansing - Kayaking through the mangrove, traveling to Zancudo, cleansing and my kids' 'Glee' addiction
